Tendre est la nuit/Tender Is the Night

The motto of the exhibition is loosely based on F. Scott Fitzgerald‘s novel „Tender is the night“. The famous novel from the early 1930s is partly set on the Côte d‘Azur. It is wonderfully atmospheric... the special light of the south, the glitter of the sea, the sensual heat, the melancholy of the night, the sophisticated life on the Côte... are just as much themes as the undefined apocalyptic mood of the 1930s, which possibly (hopefully not!) doubles in our days, an unresolvable love story between three people and the constant questioning of what makes an artist, in this case a writer…
